🔴🌽 FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: NEBRASKA AT ILLINOIS! 🌽🔴

📅 Friday, November 6 | ⏰ 7 PM CT

The Huskers head to Illinois facing a pivotal stretch of the season. At 5–3, Nebraska has dropped three straight games — all heartbreakers after holding fourth-quarter leads. The frustration is real, and the pressure on Matt Rhule and the offense is growing.

🏈 WHAT TO WATCH:
Get the run game going. Nebraska needs a more balanced offense and can't become one-dimensional.
Protect the football. Three turnovers against Washington were costly. That cannot happen again.
FINISH THE GAME. Three straight late-game collapses make this the biggest test of all.

Friday night under the lights. Time to turn the page and finish the season strong!

🎃🏈 HALLOWEEN BLACKOUT: NEBRASKA vs. WASHINGTON 🏈🎃

📅 Saturday, October 31 | ⏰ 7:00 PM CT

The Huskers are back home, and there’s no better time for a Halloween night showdown! 👻 After a bye week, Nebraska has a chance to regroup, get healthy, and turn two heartbreaking three-point losses into motivation for the final stretch of the season.

🧱 THREE THINGS THAT COULD DECIDE THE GAME

1️⃣ Win third down. Nebraska’s defense has been exceptional in these situations. Keep that going, and Washington will struggle to sustain drives.
2️⃣ Limit the big plays. Washington can stretch the field, so the secondary must stay disciplined and the pass rush must make the quarterback uncomfortable.
3️⃣ Take care of the football. In a game that could come down to a possession or two, turnovers and costly penalties could be the difference between a win and another painful finish.

Nebraska enters at 5–2, and Washington comes to Lincoln at 4–3. The Huskers have the home-field advantage, a strong defense, and an opportunity to make a statement.

🏈 NEBRASKA vs. OREGON: UNDER THE LIGHTS!
(the night light 😂)

Saturday night in Eugene presents Nebraska with a chance to respond to a painful loss and prove that progress is more than a promising first three quarters.

Oregon is dealing with uncertainty at quarterback. Dante Moore remains sidelined, leaving Dylan Raiola and Brock Thomas as the leading options. Raiola struggled against UCLA before Thomas came in and threw for 156 yards and a touchdown, nearly leading a comeback. Oregon's coaching staff has a decision to make, and Nebraska must prepare for either quarterback.

Nebraska's 20-17 loss to Indiana showed that we can compete physically with a highly talented opponent. The defense did an excellent job limiting Indiana's running game, but explosive passes and late-game ex*****on proved costly. The issue wasn't an inability to compete. It was the inability to finish.

The Huskers don't need to be perfect, but they need to be disciplined, physical, and ready to finish what they start.

5–0 NEBRASKA vs. 5–0 INDIANA

This is where seasons are made.

Nebraska and Indiana are both 5–0 and 2–0 in the Big Ten. Indiana comes into Lincoln as the defending national champion with a 21-game winning streak. The Hoosiers are ranked No. 7 in the AP poll and are coming off a 47–15 win over Rutgers.

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti specifically talked about how difficult Colandrea is to defend because he can beat you with both his arm and his legs. Nebraska is averaging 43.6 points per game, so the Husker offense has shown it can put pressure on a defense.

Indiana has been one of the best defenses in the country, while Nebraska has been much more consistent protecting Colandrea and creating room in the running game.

HOMECOMING IN LINCOLN: NEBRASKA vs. MARYLAND

The Huskers are 4–0 and coming home after a convincing 31–13 win over Michigan State.

So what should we expect on Saturday?

Maryland comes into Lincoln at 2–2 after getting dominated by UCLA, 54–3, in its Big Ten opener. The Terps managed just 181 total yards and 39 rushing yards, while four interceptions—including two pick-sixes—helped UCLA turn the game into a rout. Maryland also struggled to sustain drives, converting just 1 of 15 third downs.

For the Huskers, Anthony Colandrea will be a major factor. Nebraska has one of the most balanced offenses in the country, averaging 236.5 rushing yards and 246.3 passing yards per game. Maryland will have to account for Colandrea both as a passer and when he gets outside the pocket.

The running game will also be worth watching, particularly with Jamal Rule's status after he left the Michigan State game. Nebraska has enough depth to keep running the football, but Rule’s availability could affect how the Huskers attack Maryland.
It’s Homecoming. It’s a Saturday afternoon in Memorial Stadium. And the Huskers are 4–0.

NEBRASKA OPENS BIG TEN PLAY AT MICHIGAN STATE

The Huskers are 3–0, but Saturday brings the first real test of the season. Nebraska travels to East Lansing to face a Michigan State team coming off a loss to Notre Dame.

Colandrea has shown poise and playmaking ability early in the season. Michigan State will present a more physical pass rush, so Nebraska’s offensive line will need to give him time while creating opportunities for him to make plays outside the pocket.
Jamal Rule and the running game

Rule has been one of Nebraska’s biggest early-season surprises, recording multiple 100-yard rushing performances. Look for Dana Holgorsen to rely on the running game to control the tempo, open up play-action opportunities, and keep pressure off Colandrea.
Jacory Barney Jr. and the skill players

Nebraska has shown improvement at the skill positions. Barney and the rest of the receiving team will need to create separation and make plays when Michigan State brings pressure.

🌽 WEEK 3: NORTH DAKOTA 🌽

The Huskers are 2–0, and now things get a little more interesting.
North Dakota comes into Lincoln 3–0 and ranked among the top FCS teams in the country. The Fighting Hawks have been putting up points, and QB Jerry Kaminski is coming off a 336-yard, 3-TD performance. This is a team that can’t be overlooked.

For Nebraska, this is a chance to keep building on the first two weeks while tightening up the details. The offense has shown plenty of firepower, but the Huskers will get a better test of their physicality and consistency against a North Dakota team known for playing tough, disciplined football.

Wear your best gear for drink specials and no cover at the door!

After a 49–21 win over Ohio, the Huskers head into Week 2 with plenty of momentum—but also a few things to clean up. Nebraska showed it can put points on the board and control a game, especially once the running game got rolling. Now the challenge is putting together four consistent quarters.

Bowling Green comes into Lincoln 0–1 after a 20–13 loss to FCS opponent Tarleton State, but we’re not overlooking the Falcons. Their run game and mobile quarterback could give the Blackshirts another opportunity to prove they can be more consistent up front.

Expect Nebraska to establish the run early, let Anthony Colandrea continue building confidence, and give the Blackshirts a chance to clean up some of the defensive issues from Week 1.

GBR! 🌽🔴⚪

🚨🌽 HUSKER FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🌽🚨

The wait is OVER, Nebraska fans! This Saturday, September 5, the Huskers kick off the 2026 season against the Ohio Bobcats, and we’re bringing the game-day energy to New Orleans! 🔴⚪

📍 Come watch at Carrollton Station
8140 Willow St.
⏰ 11:00 AM CT Kickoff

What are we expecting? Nebraska comes in with the bigger, deeper roster and a new-look offense led by transfer QB Anthony Colandrea, who threw for 3,459 yards and 23 TDs while adding 649 rushing yards and 10 rushing TDs at UNLV last season. If Colandrea settles in early, Nebraska could be in for a big offensive day.

Ohio is no pushover—they went 9-4 last season and won the Frisco Bowl—but they have a new starting QB in Nick Poulos, who has limited experience. Nebraska should have the edge defensively, with the Blackshirts looking to set the tone early and make life difficult for Ohio’s offense.

So throw on your red, grab your friends, and see us at Carrollton Station! 🌽🔴
