Happy Mardi Gras,
After a decades of my universe expanding I decided to implode it in the last three years, closing out everything, cutting all the binds. I’ve given away most of my belongings, sold my business’s, put the St. Joseph Altar on hiatus, and now the final bind, I’m ending the fabulous Krewe of Full Grown Man Society marching parade. I loved all these things and thank everyone who took part in them and helped so much. The ground work for FGMS took root Pre-Katrina, and came together in 2006. The hope was to bring Carnival back to my ancestral homelands in the Marigny and French Quarter, like when I was a child, dozens of marching krewes, people lining the streets, families everywhere. I believe we succeeded in helping to bring it back. To the best of my knowledge it was down to two krewes in 2006, and now countless roam the streets.....glad we were part of it....so again thanks for taking part....see you in the streets....
