Jamie Bernstein
Based in New Orleans since 1996, Jamie Bernstein is an independent
songwriter, storyteller, and solo performer whose work reflects a
profound commitment to original artistic expression. Drawing inspiration from his West Virginia roots and the rich cultural tapestry of New Orleans, Bernstein has released six albums of original music and penned songs for many of the city’s most celebrated artists. A versatile and engaging creative force, Bernstein brings compelling narratives to life both on stage and through non-traditional recording projects, such as composing an album aboard a sailboat in the Bahamas. Across every medium,
his creative output remains dedicated to spreading joy, building community, and inspiring listeners far and wide.
Max Sanders
New Orleans-Raised singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made a mark on the music scene through extensive national touring, both as a solo artist and in support of notable acts like
Maggie Koerner, Hollyrock, and Lynn Drury. As a songwriter, Max brings together rugged western influence with the laid-back traditions of New Orleans’ culture.
Jon "Blackdog" Ridnell
A seasoned guitarist, singer, and songwriter who has spent over three decades anchoring the Colorado Front Range music scene. Originally from New York, he divides his time between
Colorado and New Orleans, drawing deep inspiration from both regions
to craft a unique blend of funk, jazz, rock, and blues. Ridnell stands out for his technical guitar work and sophisticated compositions. Rather than relying on standard progressions, his original songs feature complex chord structures, , inventive rhythms,
and compelling storytelling. This craftsmanship is on full display in
his 2026 album, Freak the Funk, which he recorded in New Orleans
alongside funk legends like George Porter Jr.
Whether performing with his bands Black Dog and New Family Dog or
stripping things down for a solo set, Ridnell’s performance highlights
the raw connection between an accomplished guitarist and a
well-crafted song.
