Drop by http://mollysatthemarket.net to check out our merch and other info! In 1980, Jim sold Molly's on Toulouse to focus his attention and efforts on Decatur Street, The French Market, and the Lower French Quarter. For over 50 years, Molly's has been the preferred hangout for the broadest possible spe

ctrum of local and international characters, media, and politicians. Every year Molly's sponsors a St. Patrick's Day Parade, a Charity Poker Crawl, and a Halloween Parade. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Molly's stayed open throughout the ordeal, providing a respite for locals and relief workers alike. The Halloween Parade went on as scheduled. Five decades later, Molly's at the Market is a family-run business known the world over for its signature drinks, strikingly attractive regulars, and earnestly cynical worldview. Not much I can do. They won’t let me drive the steamroller (smart on their part). So today we will continue the great meme war of 2026! Probably going to increase the volume/tone of them so hang in there. Just remember they are jokes. If you read to into them your feelings will get hurt and you’d be a perfect candidate to handle public relations for a government agency. 🤣🤣🤣

“Rocket man burnin’ out his fuse up here alone” - Trey in the office making our social media all about a niche project in the Quarter for four straight days.

Fuse is all burnt up. Invited SWBNOLA to be partners in this, use our venue anytime they want as a space to reach out to community, invited Randy Hayman to be a guest bartender (still open invite, wouldn’t be crazy if he came down on Sunday), was told multiple times about temporary paving allowing us to have some elements of our busy season only to have that rug pulled with me forcing them to address that they had indeed promised and then neglected telling us that promise would be broken. Getting told in April that the major hang up was historic granite curb that was damaged by the contractor that was then delayed in delivery…still not seeing curb on our block even though it was 3 weeks out back at FQF, watching three beautiful weather days this week get squandered with only five guys working between both Decatur and St Peter this week. The 💩 is driving me crazy. So I’m locking myself in the office and making memes until we party on Sunday. Would love to see , and swing through on Sunday to all the business hurting down here. Low hanging political fruit to pop into and grab a delicious drink. Or hit up for some fried chicken. Bring the kids, the new park is open and has a great area for kids. Also is rocking that good good that has helped me eat my feelings for the last nine months as this project has missed every deadline. Bunch of business that I’ll name check over the next few days. But if you are in town on Sunday come down to Decatur. Or to quote the late great C.G.L Wallace
“Tell your friends to get with my friends
And we can be friends“

Alright, back to the meme coal mine.

Tomorrow we will be meeting up to remember Nick. We encourage everyone to come out and share stories, hugs, and love as we honor his amazing spirit. Please note that this is at Crescent Park at 1pm tomorrow. And if you are in the Chicago area and friends have arranged a memorial .club later in the week. Be kind to yourself and to others, knowing we all miss him dearly. 💔❤️‍🩹
