We have released new iOS & Android app versions with the following features:

• Support for MobileDL (ISO 18013-5). This was already available in the Android version, we made improvements and added the feature to the iOS version of the BCS Id Scanner App. MobileDL is in use by several states, and growing in popularity, but be warned, while you get very good fake prevention with MobileDL, if you are checking a large number of Ids, MobileDL will slow down the process.
• Support for ePassport reading. Reading the MRZ of a passport has been supported for a while now, but now you can get passport verification and some additional details like a portrait and biometric information by reading the RFID chip on most current passports. Both the iOS and Android version support this new feature. Once you read a passport MRZ, you will be prompted on reading the passport chip if your device supports NFC.
• Custom Groups. These are similar to Ban/VIP lists, but give you full control over the groups, give the Group your own name, add members, whether to alert on member scan, notes, and best of all, add a photo to the member record.

These updates are now live in the app stores, iOS version 24.0.0, Android version 6.0.0
