June 7th: The ILLINOIS MOTORHEADS M/C presents the 36th Annual Kenny Hoffmann Memorial Run. Remembering all our fallen brothers. If you have never been or haven't been in a while, come to Phyls in Marine from 10:30-1 for sign-up. The top five hands will receive a cash prize and a custom-made trophy that you won’t get anywhere else. Also, there will be a club participation cash prize with a custom-made trophy unlike any trophy you have ever seen. There will be food available for purchase at the end, and Toxic Johnny will be playing from 4-8. 50/50 drawing, a drawing for a self-defense boom stick, attendance prizes, and at the end of the night, the MOTORHEADS annual “smile contest” will take place. There will be vendors and a couple of motorcycle shops present so you can schedule upgrades, service, or just talk to them and get to know them. The proceeds from this run are used throughout the year to give to numerous charities, from local families in need to national charities like the Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s, and many others. It doesn’t matter what you drive or ride - it could be a donkey, horse, camel, muscle car, jeep, or even a 1990 Ford Tempo. We don’t care what you’re in, just come out and have a good time. If you show up on a horse or a donkey, I will buy your first drink. If you show up on a camel (it has to be real, not a blow-up pool float), I will buy you two drinks. All we ask is that you come out and support us and respect everyone else on the ride, the communities we ride through, and the bartenders and establishments that host our stops. All of our members and the owners of the bars and bartenders will work hard to ensure everyone has a good time. So, be respectful to the bartenders and fellow riders. Also, Friday, June 5th, is the kick-off to Motorhead Weekend at the ILLINOIS MOTORHEADS M/C clubhouse. Doors open at 6, and food will be available for purchase. The CHAPMAN BROS will be playing at 8. The public is welcome; you don’t have to be in a club to come out. All we ask is that you be respectful to everyone there. We are all friends, and we are all in this crazy world together, so no attitudes and be respectful. Come out and see what MOTORHEAD weekend is all about. It will be a good time for all, so please come out and support us because without you, we can’t do what we do.
