On Saturday, December 21st, we held our final service at Contento – a night that was nothing short of extraordinary. The love and support we've received over the past few weeks have left us profoundly grateful. Please know, this isn’t a moment for sadness. It marks not an end, but the closing of a remarkable chapter filled with cherished memories. Each of us at Contento is looking ahead with excitement as we embark on our next adventures.
To honor Contento’s legacy, the best way forward is to continue supporting the disability community. Across the country, countless organizations are doing incredible work to uplift this growing yet often overlooked population. Your support can truly make a difference.
For those who visited Contento, you may remember the photo of Anthony Bourdain that hung in the bathroom. His words have long resonated with us, and as we step into the future, we leave you with this quote – a reflection of our journey:
"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o'clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you've never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyway. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride."
– Anthony Bourdain
Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to new beginnings, and may the spirit of Contento live on in all of us.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Contento Team
