Head of Jazz Studies Conrad Herwig spoke to the magazine about the concert, which takes place this Friday, April 24 at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center with guest trumpeter Jeremy Pelt.

"There's so much we can learn from Miles for the students," says Herwig, who performed with Davis and Quincy Jones in 1991. "His playing and his vision and his influence on the music is existential."

Current students Ivanna Cuesta Gonzales and Carlos Hernandez are also mentioned in the article, as well as recent alum Tahj Walsh.
