Hello Everyone! The Women's Center Coalition is looking for individuals looking to make a difference on campus to join our team for the 2022-2023 academic year! The Women's Center is open to ALL identities.

The Women’s Center Coalition is a student-run organization at Rutgers University. We are comprised of individuals and student groups whose collective mission is to raise awareness about and fight against sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, and support other feminist and social justice projects on campus. We encourage members to challenge attitudes and institutions limiting women’s and minorities’ roles and develop a deeper understanding of themselves as individuals and as members of their communities capable of creating meaningful change.

The Women’s Center, located on the 3rd floor of Douglass Student Center, is our safe space which is used and maintained for our events. We focus our energies as an organization to a) create an inclusive space for different voices and help individuals grow to accept the various intersections of their identities, b) foster more dialogue between different social justice organizations on campus to bring more effective change on campus, and c) sponsor and/or co-sponsor educational events in response to different social justice educational demands at Rutgers University or to address current issues in our community.

Please consider sending an application to join our e-board today! The link to the application can be found below and in our bio!

Take Back the Night 2019 is this Wednesday!

Join us on April 24th as we SPEAK OUT against sexual and gendered violence and empower survivors in our community! This event is FREE and open to ALL!

At 7:00 PM we will rally at Carpender Hall (New Brunswick, NJ) where we will have music and poster making to get us excited for the march! Parking can be found in the Douglass Student Center (100 George Street Street New Brunswick, NJ) parking lot.

At 8 PM we will start the march! We'll go all the way down George Street, one of the main streets in New Brunswick, and march straight onto Voorhees Mall (right off of Hamilton Street). Along the way, we'll SHATTER THE SILENCE surrounding sexual and gender based violence and make it clear to everyone that we do NOT tolerate this behavior in our community.

SHATTER THE SILENCE! STOP THE VIOLENCE!
