Been spending some time focusing on flying lately ✈️ — but rest assured, we’re still hard at work on the ground.

At the new location, we’re currently whitewashing two original fireplaces and building custom mantles to preserve that classic Victorian vibe and bring out the original character of this beautiful space. This place has good bones, and we’re doing our best to let them shine.

There’s still plenty to do, but don’t worry — we’ll have this thing up and running in a jiffy. We’ll be announcing our proposed opening date soon, and we’ll also be dropping new menus in the coming weeks.

Thanks for following along and sticking with us — we can’t wait to welcome y’all in.

Recently, Comal County officials installed “No Parking” signs along FM-1102, directly impacting our small, family-friendly, veteran-owned music venue — The Weighted Plate. These restrictions very specifically encompass our business frontage and, to our knowledge, are unprecedented for overflow parking of any business on a county road in Comal county.
In 13 months of operation, we’ve experienced only one minor, non-alcohol-related parking incident. Despite this, these new restrictions threaten our ability to serve our community and could force us out of business. We believe this action reflects an unfair and excessive use of authority.
We invite you to review our story and the attached documentation showing the timeline, photos, and map of the affected area. If you share our concern, please contact U.S. Representative Chip Roy Press Office to request help bring attention to this matter.
