Well, we took some time to get established and just breathe. Running a restaurant was incredibly rewarding, but until I actually took a break I had no idea how much I needed to rest.
I've spent the last month reflecting, resetting, and getting my many ducks in something resembling a row. After taking a cooking test at my new job last week, I've finally figured out that I missed cooking for fun.
So today, for the first time in years, I cooked for fun. No customers, no managers, no pressure. Just me, my new kitchen, and a bunch of groceries.
I'll have some recipes up this week showcasing what I made and how. But for today, I will enjoy the chaos in my kitchen as I make meals for just my family and no one else.
