Niobrara Valley Vineyards

Niobrara Valley Vineyards Nebraska Farm Winery featuring a variety of w**es ranging from red to white and dry to sweet. It is an area known for production of quality cattle.

Niobrara Valley Vineyards is located in the northern Sandhills near Nenzel, NE. The Nollette Brothers purchased Diamond Lazy J Ranch and started raising cattle in 1986. These were tough times to be involved in agriculture but our roots are here and so we were determined to stay. The passion to become self-sustaining started the exploration of growing grapes in the Sandhills and the first vines were planted in 2002. The semi-arid climate provides an excellent environment for high quality grapes. The low humidity, hot summers, cool nights, harsh winds and very cold winters contribute to hardy vines that require fewer herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. Our grapes make w**es with more body and an explosion of flavors that is amplified by the harsh environment our grapes have to live in, making them hardy just like the people who live in the Sandhills. Currently we have 2350 vines and nine varieties of grapes that make up the unique blends of flavors that are in the Niobrara Valley Vineyards w**es.
