Ok, y’all…. We have had many disappointed friends when we had to tell them we were already sold out of Schlafly Pumpkin….. I sure hope they are seeing this post because- WE GOT ANOTHER SHIPMENT (& we bought as many as we could!). We know it’s still feeling more summer than fall outside, but maybe if you sip on a pumpkin ale it will make it feel a little cooler??
Don’t wait too late because we know that this shipment will sell out too 🍻

We know our shop is small & there aren’t a lot of tables, so we don’t do many special events at The Station. BUT, when Burial calls to ask if we would like to tap some special brews while they are in town- HECK YEAH we do!! 🍻
We’re gonna tap 3 kegs AND give some glasses away with a pint (while supplies last). The b**rs we are tapping are:

We’re excited to have ‘Wayfinder B**r’ now on tap! This Portland, Oregon brewery may be known for their la**rs, but this “Winged Creatures” West Coast IPA is quite tasty. It’s a gorgeous afternoon for a patio b**r…. 🍻

🍺 🫏 ❤️ Half Ass Hill L***r Time ❤️ 🫏 🍺
For years we have dreamed of having a b**r made especially for The Filling Station…. At the beginning of this year, we decided to stop dreaming about it and make it happen! But, we had to find a local brewery who would be willing to help us make this wild, crazy dream of ours come true…… 🤔
This led us back to where our journey in the craft b**r community all started. We reached out to our friend (& former boss), Linus- the founder & brewmaster of Yazoo Brewing Company here in Nashville. Y’all, he was immediately on board and ready to help us make this happen!! 🙌
When it came time to decide on what style we wanted, Brian and I knew we wanted something smooth & easy drinking that would appeal to as many folks as possible. Together with Linus, we decided on a clean, crisp Mexican l***r that is perfect for sipping on the patio in 12South. ☀️
It was time to decide on a name for our b**r…. This was harder than picking a recipe!! No matter what names we threw out there, nothing seemed right. We asked Linus for any suggestions. He replied with “Half Ass Hill L***r?” And, now I bet all of y’all are wondering— why did y’all pick that name?? 🤷‍♀️
Half Ass Hill is the name of our mini-farm! We have miniature donkeys (aka half asses), and live on top of a small hilltop, about an hour east of Nashville. When we first started at Yazoo, we had just moved to the farm and often shared stories of farm life while we were working in the brewery or the taproom. There was always something entertaining to share! 🫏
Y’all, we are big dreamers, but we couldn’t have imagined this…. Linus offered to can some for us! We even got to use a picture of one of our donkeys (Lucky Leo) standing in front of our barn as the idea behind the label. 😍
We were so excited that Half Ass Hill L***r was on the schedule to be canned. Linus even invited us to come to the brewery to help! It was a full-circle moment to be standing on the packaging line again. Only this time, we were packaging a b**r made for OUR shop. 🤩

❤️ 🍺 Lots of Love at The Filling Station 🍺 ❤️
Congratulations to Matt & Taylor! We were so excited when Matt told us last weekend he was going to ask Taylor to be his wife. We were even more excited when he told us that he was going to ask her on our patio because that is where they had their first date! Thank y’all so much for making us a part of a very special day ❤️
We got here early this morning to meet Madeline & Andy, a couple of our regulars, who emailed us a few months ago with a vision to have some of their engagement photos taken at the shop! Y’all it truly made us so happy (& proud) to know that our little shop was such a special place to them. We were more than happy to help make their idea happen!! I can’t wait to see a few of them…. Their photographer took some amazing pics!! {I’m attaching a photo of them on our patio talking about their upcoming Filling Station engagement pics}
When The Filling Station started, it was our dream to create a place where folks would want to relax with friends, make new ones, & enjoy a great b**r. We didn’t know how to do it exactly, so we just followed our hearts and tried to create a spot we would go to every day!! We wanted a draft list that has something for everyone to enjoy, a play list that you aren’t going to find anywhere else in Nashville, & that real, old-school Nashville hospitality that makes our city special. Y’all, as I type this up and reflect on the past 24 hours and what has happened here on this patio, I think we have created something quite special here in 12South. Thank you for believing in us, supporting the Filling Station, letting us be a part of your story, & being a part of our story. We can’t believe our dream is still coming true almost 14 years later! - 🍻 Brian & Brandi
