Campeones, campeones! Olé-olé-olé! 🏆🌮

The dust has settled on the inaugural Oathie’s Taco T.K.O. and we have our champions….

Foreign Exchange, led by Chef Judy Reyna, took home the Judges’ Choice title with a carne asada shawarma taco. On the peoples’ side, it was Milo’s Market one-man machine Chef Gilberto Bahena taking home the hardware for his iconic quesabirria taco!

A massive salute goes out to all of our competitors for braving the sun and heat over their respective grills. The voting was as close as we’ve ever had in a competition, which is a testament to all four of them and the creative fire they each bring to their art. Big, big love goes out to our guest judges: Anthony Martorina, Jacob Sembrano, and Tim Fi**en for taking the time to tear up some tacos with us.

Lastly, much love to all of you who joined us for round one of this taco throwdown. As always, you are the reason we host these parties and we hope to see you at the next one, our annual Viking Family Harvest, on October 17th in Naperville.

The third Vibes B**r Project brew day takes place October 23 at Solemn Oath Brewery in Naperville, Illinois & is open to any woman working in b**r. Brewery owners, brewers, bartenders, servers, hosts, bottle shop staff, b**r journalists, & more. All are welcome, regardless of position or experience.

Everyone’s in such a fu***ng hurry these days. Everybody’s got somewhere to be. Something to prove. A point that simply must be made. Voices get louder. Tempers get shorter. Chests get bigger. Chairs start moving. And there’s always one poor bastard who mistakes making a scene for making a point. And apparently we’re all meant to join in.

You lot carry on. Puff yourselves up. Wave whatever needs waving. Make your threats. Bring your chaos. I’m going to sit right here and enjoy this. Because there’s a perfectly good pint in front of me, and at present, the only situation I’m particularly concerned with is one of you idiots knocking it over.

Now this? This is proper b**r. Toasted malt. Caramel. A touch of cocoa. A clean snap of American hop bitterness. Old-world bones with a modern lean. Rich, layered, composed.

Knows what it is. Knows where it came from. Knows exactly what the hell it’s doing. No reinvention. No tricks. No dog & pony show. Doesn’t need your attention. Doesn’t particularly care for your approval. And certainly isn’t going to start shouting just because everyone else has lost their fu***ng minds.

🌮 TACOS + B**R! TACOS + B**R! 🍻

This Saturday, September 12th the inaugural Oathie’s Mighty Fine Taco T.K.O. is the main event at Solemn Oath Brewery in Naperville as four local taquerias enter the ring to try and take home the ‘best taco’ titles!

The taco throwdown is FREE to attend and open to all ages and features b**r from Solemn Oath and Hidden Hand and tacos from Antique Taco, Milo’s Market, Foreign Exchange, Tamale Spaceship along with additional taqueria favorites from each vendor and churros by the one and only Señor Churro! All food and beverage purchase with be à la carte through each vendor and at the bar. Come hungry, come thirsty, leave totally happy with a tummy full of tacos and b**r!

Follow the light right down the line to a beautiful pint of Fresh Fractured Fresh Hop IPA. Now with Strata!

It’s been just under a week since we dropped this glowing expression of Strata fresh hop indulgence. Oregon-grown whole cone Strata hops picked, rush-shipped cross-country, & added to the b**r less than 12 hours later for what can only be described as transcendent hop oil opulence.

Both taprooms are OPEN for all Labor Day b**r needs at 12PM. Close out the summer of 2026 with Fresh Fractured at Solemn Oath.
