Legend has it that back in the 1920s, a genius cheesemaker in Puglia didn’t want to waste leftover mozzarella scraps, so he wrapped them in rich cream and sealed it all inside a pouch of fresh cheese. Just like that, burrata was born.

Fast forward a century, and we’re bringing that exact piece of Southern Italian magic straight to your table at A16. Fresh, impossibly creamy.

Come grab a fork (and a glass of wine) and taste why Puglia’s best mistake became our favorite obsession.

Born from the clever simplicity of Italian country cooking, panzanella is the ultimate celebration of summer’s bounty. We use peak-season heirloom tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and Gaeta olives sourced straight from thepatch_sonoma all tossed in housemade red wine vinaigrette with our golden, crunchy focaccia croutons.

Pair it with the Tiberio, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo 2025. This brilliant, cherry-hued rosé-red hybrid from Abruzzo packs bright acidity, vibrant red fruit, and a subtle savory snap that cuts right through the tangy vinaigrette and highlights the sweet farm-fresh tomatoes. La dolce vita!

One bite of our Zucchini Pesto Pizza, and you’ll feel like you’re in Southern Italy, where peak-season ingredients do all the talking. We top it with Grana Padano, Stracciatella, and vibrant Summer produce from Robert Sinskey Vineyards & Wilding Farm Wilding Farm right down the road from us.

Pair it with a glass of Vino Lauria, Frappato, Scoglitti, Sicily 2024. This Sicilian light red is packed with bright red berry notes, subtle minerality, and silky tannins that cut through the richness of the pizza without overpowering those fresh, delicate toppings. La coppia perfetta!

Within each bottle of Cliff Lede wines is a distinctive expression of Napa Valley’s remarkable diversity of microclimates, soils, and terroir.

Christopher is excited to share a selection of wines from their portfolio, including the showstopping Rhythm Cabernet Sauvignon from their Stags Leap District estate, a site he has worked with for 15 years. A salute to the harvest season with Faith Armstrong. She’ll be bringing the electric energy of the valley’s harvest season to A16!

Faith will be showcasing the breadth of Onward, everything from the Malvasia pét-nat all the way to the Cabernet. She wants guests to taste the range of what Onward does, from playful and bright to structured and serious.

Meet the Maker Wayfarer Wine Cleo Pahlmeyer | August 6th | 5pm - 7pm ish at A16 Napa

Wayfarer is Cleo Pahlmeyer’s continuation of her family’s 40-year legacy in wine. She produces beautiful Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Wayfarer’s organically farmed estate vineyard in Sonoma’s Fort Ross-Seaview AVA.

The redwood forests, generous sunshine and chilly ocean air combine to yield wines with a signature that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.

She will be pouring three wines from the 2023 vintage, which she says, is one of the most exciting and exceptional vintages in recent history. “It was a very cool and late growing season, which means that the grapes finished ripening during mild fall weather, so the flavors had time to develop a lot of complexity while retaining brilliant acidity.”

Come taste these unique wines, and meet the amazing woman who makes them.
