Improv has so many ways of changing your life and helping your life. When we were in Birmingham, we taught a special class for caregivers of dementia and Alzheimer’s. The principles of Improv helps significantly in dealing with such the “yes, and” basics of Improv can be leveraged to help reduce conflict and stress when dealing with Alzheimer’s patients. You have to learn to step into their reality rather than arguing and trying to convince them that they need to be in your reality.
