🌈 WE HAVE THE BEST DAMN COMMUNITY. 🌈

Today was one of those days that reminds us why we’re fighting so hard to bring this place back to life.

A HUGE, enormous, glitter-covered (and you know we have plenty of it!) THANK YOU to everyone who showed up today to, move things, organize, haul, sweat, laugh, and generally help us get this building one step closer to becoming the place we’ve all been waiting for. You gave us your time, your energy, and your Sunday — and we genuinely cannot thank you enough.

Every helping hand matters.

This place isn’t being rebuilt by one person. It’s being rebuilt by a community.

Seeing all of you show up today was emotional as hell. We may be tired, sweaty, covered in dust, and questioning some of our life choices — but we’re also incredibly grateful.

Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for believing in this place. And thank you for helping us bring our LGBTQIA+ community’s home back to life.

We love you more than words can say.

Now somebody please bring us a shower, a massage, and a few extra cocktails or mocktails.

🏳️‍🌈✨ IT’S MUNCIE PRIDE DAY, BABY! ✨🏳️‍🌈

Today is all about LOVE, COMMUNITY, PRIDE, and showing up for one another — and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of it! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Come find us, along with TONS of amazing vendors, organizations, performers, activities, and festivities celebrating the beautiful, wonderfully chaotic family that makes our community so damn special.

But the celebration doesn’t stop when Pride does…

🌈 TONIGHT = THE PRIDE AFTER PARTY DRAG SHOW! 🌈

This incredible night was dreamed up, organized, and put together by one of our own local queens, and it is being held not only to celebrate Pride, but also to help raise funds for the resurgence of our nightclub.

And honestly… we are overwhelmed by the love.

To the queen who put this all together: THANK YOU. Thank you for believing in us, believing in this place, and believing that what we are working so hard to bring back to our community is worth fighting for. You see the vision.

🚨🏳️‍🌈 OKAY FAM… THIS IS NOT A DRILL. WE HAVE MOVEMENT!!! 🏳️‍🌈🚨

After months of delays, surprises, setbacks, headaches, stress, tears, questionable amounts of caffeine, and enough new gray hairs to start a very questionable drag troupe called “50 Shades of Gray”… 😂… 😂

WE FINALLY FOUND THE COMPANY TO TAKE CARE OF THE STRUCTURAL ISSUES WE DISCOVERED! 🥹🏗️❤️

And they’re getting started VERY SOON! 🙌🏼

Honestly, we cannot even begin to explain what this means to us. We’ve had moments where we wondered if this day would ever come. We’ve been frustrated. We’ve been exhausted, and we’ve definitely screamed into a pillow on more than 1 occasion. 🤪

But through ALL of it, we will keep going.

Because this place is more than walls, floors, bars, lights and a dance floor.

It’s our community. It’s our history. It’s a place where people should be able to walk through the doors and feel like they belong. 🏳️‍🌈❤️

And now… we need a little help from the people who are going to make this place what it’s meant to be. 👀

🧹📦 VOLUNTEER CLEAN-UP & MOVE DAY! 📦🧹

THIS SUNDAY • NOON–4 PM

Before the construction crew can come in and start doing their thing, we need to move some stuff, clean out some areas, organize, rearrange, and generally make the building look like we actually know what we’re doing. 😂

You don’t have to be a construction expert.
You don’t have to know what a hammer does.
You don’t even have to know where anything is supposed to go. 😂

If you can lift, carry, sweep, clean, organize, laugh, swear appropriately, and inappropriately or provide moral support, WE WANT YOU. ❤️

Bring yourself, wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and come ready to help us take another HUGE step toward opening these doors.

Every box moved. Every room cleaned. Every helping hand. Every hour donated.

It all gets us closer.

And someday soon, we’re going to stand in that finished building, turn on those lights, crank up that music, open those doors and look around knowing:

Dear Tap Room Family,

We’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to write this post, because honestly, it’s not one we ever wanted to make.

After further work and inspections inside the building, we’ve discovered structural issues that need to be addressed before we can safely open our doors. Because of that, our opening will be delayed even further.

We’re disappointed. We’re frustrated. We’re exhausted. There have been moments when this project has felt like one step forward and two steps back, and this is certainly one of those moments.

But we’re also grateful.

As difficult as this news is, we’re thankful these issues were found now instead of after opening. The last thing we would ever do is cut corners or ignore something that affects the safety and longevity of the space we’re building for this community.

This bar has never been just a business to us. It’s a dream. It’s a labor of love. It’s a place we hope will become a home away from home for so many people. That’s why we’re choosing to do this the right way, even when it’s the harder path.

To everyone who has followed our journey, shared our posts, stopped by to check on progress, offered encouragement, or simply believed in what we’re creating—thank you. On the days when we’re overwhelmed, your support reminds us why we started this in the first place.

We know you’re excited. We are too. More than you know.

The opening may be delayed, but the vision isn’t. The music will play. The lights will come on. The doors will open. And when they do, we’ll know we built something strong enough to stand for years to come.

Thank you for sticking with us. We’ll keep pushing forward, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way. ❤️
