Alright my friends, our final day is here. Lasagna will be ready by 5:30. Sorry for changing the time on that. Mick Kyte Music will start at 6:00.

Ok guys, I apologize for being all over the map on things but here is the final announcement...

We will be open for service Friday and Saturday, with Saturday being our last day.

We have Mick Kyte Music performing Saturday night from 6 - 9:00. No food specials Friday.

Saturday starting at 5:00 we will have lasagna available as our final special. There will be a limited availability with a first come first serve basis.

We will temporarily move into a catering and prepared meal service until we figure out the next steps of the plan.

We are not leaving. Johnson County is our home and we will fight to the death for it. Not trying to be dramatic but if you know the full story, we are fighting to keep our home at the moment. Helene and covid have reaked havoc on our survival.

We know where we belong and we know where home is. We love you all and thank you for whatever support you have to give. So much love for each and every one of you.

We hope to see you!

Happy Monday! The last fews days have been crazy and overwhelming. We can't stress enough how amazing this community is and absolutely incredible people that make it up. We love you all so very much.

Yesterday blew us away. The outpouring of love and support is just mind blowing. You guys have picked us up in our darkest time and held us close. We have never seen or experienced anything like this before. The love and thanks we have for each and every one of you runs deep, deeper than I could ever imagine.

We have taken some time to think and talk things over. We apologize that the "plan" keeps changing, but we have learned through yesterday what we are capable of and a new plan has come together.

We have decided to go with our original hours of operation for this week. Tuesday we will open at 3:00 for Tacos and Trivia with Connor. We will have Mick Kyte Music perform Saturday night from 6:00 to 9:00. We will open both days at 3:00pm.

We cannot take on any more food deliveries so we will run with what we have until it all goes. We cannot speak with certainty about any days open after that. The time to close and move out is very short and we are forced to focus our attention on that after this week ends.

We would like to take this week to celebrate the friendships we have made and the people that have been a part of this amazing journey.

I struggle to find the right words so I guess they will simply be, thank you. This is a very special place that we live in. It is filled with the most caring and loving people. I have always felt alone and homeless until I came here. Cherish what we have here, because coming from someone that has lived around the country, there is no place like this place. I found home. And I am eternally grateful. 💜

Today is hitting us harder than we expected. We will not be opening today. We WILL open tomorrow at 10:00 for Sunday breakfast buffet. We will make the regular menu available at noon and stay open as long as people want to be there. We will open Monday and Tuesday at 3:00. That is as far as the plan goes right now. With this being such an emotional and challenging process, we find it hard to commit to anything further out yet. We are realizing how big of a deal this is and that we must treat us all with care and consideration. We want to see you. We love you.

With heavy hearts, Rachel and I regret to announce the closing of the Goat House Grill at the end of September. We have just learned that the building owner has decided to reclaim the building and we will honor his request.

We have had an incredible journey over the past few years fueled and fed by the love of so many in the community. Many thanks goes to our current and former staff, customers, and friends near and far in making the Goat a success through each storm. None of this was possible without your unwavering support. And make no mistake, the Goat has been a huge success, thanks to all of you.

As to the future, this will be a difficult transition for us and the staff, but we will keep you posted as a plan progresses. As a staff we have agreed to stay open over the next 2 weeks and will post a schedule to keep everybody updated. Tomorrow, Sat Aug 29th we will be opening at 3pm.

Moving forward past closing the building, Rachel and I will approach new opportunities with the same love, determination, and dedication you have come to know. It's been an honor serving you all. “The Goats” will survive.
