In disappointing news - we will NOT be having the tent watch parties. The logistics, pushback and costs were just impossible to overcome for us.

Rest assured - the pub will be a great venue for all the games and I hope you can all join us for a few of them!

You are probably wondering “Who is John Haviland?”

For the last 18 months the BCRPUSA (British and Commonwealth Remembrance Project) has been placing plaques honouring the 10 US citizens who flew in WWII with the RAF in the Battle of Britain. They have dedicated plaques in each of the pilots’ home states. At present there is only one plaque they have not found a location for, and that is New York.

Amazingly - the New York pilot was born in Mount Kisco in 1921!

Please join us as we unveil the plaque in honour of this amazing man at The Ambleside Pub on September 19th. We will be joined by representatives from The Daughters of the British Empire, The UK Consulate, the UK Assistant Air and Space Attaché to the United States and representation from the embassy. The mayor of Mount Kisco will also be present to say a few words on behalf of the village.

More details to come - but we are so honoured to have been selected to display this plaque.

Happy Memorial Day to all.

The Ambleside is open at noon and the Hamlet is open at 10am.

Today is also half price fish and chips all day and happy hour from 4-6pm.

Quick heads up for tomorrow:

Open at 10am for the premier league final day. We will feature 6 games, with the relegation battle on the main screen.

Main screen: West Ham v Leeds
Main Room: Spurs v Everton
Bar side fireplace main tv: Crystal Palace v Arsenal with sound

We will also show:
Brighton v Man U
Liverpool v Brentford
Sunderland v Chelsea

Once the games are over we will switch all TVs to the trophy presentation for Arsenal.
