Rocking Rabbit friends and family, we are delighted to share this news. It's going to take a few months for them to get up and running, but we are very excited for this ambitious and energetic couple and their network of supporters and friends. They are moving to Mount Dora and are excited about joining our community. We can't wait to share a pint of Eden Abbey! Cheers, everyone!

And so it begins!

The craftsman on the left spent decades as a carpenter, building wooden works of art, before pouring his creative energy into craft beer. Together with his wife, he invested his next decade into building a beautiful, thriving brewery business in Mt. Dora. The Rocking Rabbit Brewery/Mt. Dora Brewing quickly became a landmark in the community.
In 2020, after years of success, it was finally time for a little well-earned rest.

Coincidentally, just as they were shutting down their brew system, we were scaling ours up!

We knew at our first meeting- our very first walkthrough- that we’d found some new family, and Eden Abbey had found its new home.

Yesterday, with a lot of laughs, and a firm handshake, we made it official.

(Okay, there might’ve been a contract and a little cash involved too.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the wonderful customers, musicians, and employees who have been a part of the Brewery family since February 2010. Jeff and Peggy have decided to retire from the business. Of course, we wish we could have ended our time there with a grand finale of great beer, food, and music, but 2020 has not been the year anyone expected or predicted! Our business and buildings are for sale. We’d love to turn the keys over to ambitious and energetic new owners who can keep the good vibe going and be a vital part of the Mount Dora community. We are so sad to learn of the passing of one of our musician friends--Bry Carling. Bry was an outstanding bass player who played with several bands on our Rockin' Rabbit stage, including The Boulevard, Bayou Shakers, Quicksand, and Southside Lenny. (He's 3rd from left in this Boulevard photo.) Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Marie, his family, and his many treasured friends.

Folks, the Brew Crew is safe and healthy, but we've decided to remain closed until restaurant restrictions are lifted--hopefully later this year. Thank you for all your support. We will let you know when we are ready to reopen. Please continue to support our local family-owned businesses as well as our musicians. They need us now, more than ever!
