Wow! Time flies. We are approaching 3 months that we have been open here in Morro Bay and couldn't be happier. The local community has shown us so much support and we can't thank you folks enough!☀️🎉

We are very excited for what the future holds for us here in the central coast—be on the look out for lots of new fun events for the whole family 🙂

About Us

Federicos is family owned and operated by Federico and Maria Hernandez since 2009. Our idea was to create an Authentic Mexican Cuisine all the while serving up modern and clean flavors that have taken years of trial and error to curate that you are sure to enjoy.

Chef Freddie has learned all his talents in the culinary field, when he started working as a Chef in 2001 at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, CA. Working with different chefs from around the world like Master Chef Azmin Gramham, Chef Castan from France and Chef Ross Turnbull from Canada. Chef Ross Turnbull is whom I thank today for bringing me here to the Island of Kauai in 2007, as Chef de Cuisine at the Princeville Hotel. “That’s where I started to put all the ingredients and recipes together to create Federicos Fresh Mex Cuisine.” I feel very proud to introduce my finesse and flavor to all my customers on the beautiful Island of Kauai and now in our beautiful home, San Luis Obispo.

Federicos Fresh Mex Cuisine consists of homemade family recipes, which makes it Our Authentic Mexican Food. Bringing the Authentic Flavors with the flare of a universal liking of flavor that everyone will enjoy and be satisfied. Come join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For breakfast try our delicious Ricos huevos rancheros with homemade chorizo or our homemade chorizo and egg burrito. Our lunch and dinner menu offer a variety, like our burritos, tacos, quesadillas, Taquitos, taco salads and tostadas. We also offer a wide variety of Vegan options along with a healthy kids menu, come check out our exclusive Fresh Fish options overnighted from Hawaii, you can't get it anywhere else.
