She is my rock.
She’s our hype girl.
She is a wife, mother, daughter, friend, leader, boss and badass.
She is my ride or die.
She doesn’t just show up for the fun stuff, she’s walked beside us in our darkest hour and she has helped us rise through some incredibly difficult times. She’s a fighter. She’s a believer. She is a force. She is our brightest light. She’s the beacon of hard work, determination, tenacity, grit, and she defines the word hustle in a way that is only understood when you walk beside her— and if you’re in front of her, you better WALK FASTER, or she might plow you right over.
Accountability and ownership is incredibly defining of who she is, but also of who she will encourage you to be, because we are human, because we make mistakes, and because that is OK. She gives Grace and she asks for Grace and she will never let a mistake define you; it is how we work through it that defines us.
As the leader for our team, she is selfless, a complete maniac, fearless, beyond organized, creative, thoughtful, and incredibly motivated — she is our rally girl.
For someone that I get to work beside, she is the balance in my day, she resets me when I’m in a funk, she pushes me when I need it, and she definitely holds my hand when I otherwise wanna quit. She encourages me to dream so she can continue to push our team’s growth. She’s in fact my right hand, but also my left. I’m honored to call her my partner on this fun little journey we are on, in an industry that never sleeps, within a community we absolutely love.
She is Laura Hawk, and she continues to raise the bar, not just for me, but for our team.
During my 20’s I got to be somebody’s right hand, their everything, rally their wins, hold tight through the losses and watch the mastermind develop. It’s truly an honor to be someone’s person, and hopefully, if your worlds collide, you become theirs too.
There is something special about working alongside someone week after week, sharing the highs and lows, the wins and the challenges, and having someone who just gets it. SHE GETS IT.
Some people like to be front and center, and she is great at that as her presence empowers others but it is the behind the scenes that is the most fascinating to me. That work goes without recognition or praise, and it is often overlooked but it is the very foundation of our culture, it is the strength of our core and it is the integrity of our team that she continues to build. She is in the middle of every great success we experience. Without her continual creativity, hustle, ambition and loyalty; we would’ve faded out years ago, personally and professionally.
Her love and support creates this inability to quit. It’s not a part of our vocabulary and it is that Drive that makes so much of what we do fun. Nothing is as fun when you don’t have someone to share with. Nothing is nearly as scary when you have that someone to share it with.
My 20s were full of ambition, passion, drive, and dreams as you create your bucket lists and navigate through life. My 30s were full of internal professional struggles, marriage & family, career changes, growth, development, and soul searching, BUT MY 40’S, now thats where it’s at. My 40s have been a dream BECAUSE OF HER. When you get to work beside someone that just simply gets you, it is a dream. I count my blessings every day, and I can’t her twice.
Laura lives with intention every day. She has a plan. The to-do lists never scare her and the tough moments never discourage her. I have cried to her countless times and she has never judged. She simply says, it’s OK. We can get through this, there’s no other option. When you’re a dreamer it’s kind of scary for the people around you, because it creates excitement, but comes with uncertainty, and it usually forecasts for a lot of Gray. The work becomes hard before it becomes easy again and your only spot is in the front seat, because every dreamer needs a copilot. Grateful that you’re mine!
