Vision of Grace Transition Home provides shelter for one family at a time in each home. Homeless families apply for assistance and when qualified are allowed to stay for a period of 3 to 4 months. Vision of Grace Transition Home works with local agencies to identify qualifying families. Because Vision of Grace Transition Home is not a social services agency we do not have the availability of socia
l workers or counselors; therefore, we do not provide services for individuals in need of special services. Allowing these families to stay for 3 to 4 months facilitates their movement back to a self-sustained life. When they leave, they are able to afford an apartment and in some cases rent a home without the fear that they will return to homelessness. Affording families an opportunity to save and become financially stable again assures that they will be able to stand on their own two feet with minimal support. Many of these families work full or part-time, attend school in order to improve their lives and their opportunity to booster the lives of their family. This is the solid key to successfully transitioning!
