🖤💛 Some moments remind us just how precious life is, and how deeply a single life can touch an entire community.

Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we stand alongside the Dawson-Boyd community in remembering a young life taken far too soon.

At Starlight On Main Theatre Company, we believe that a community is more than the place we call home. It is the people who lift one another up, the friendships we build, the memories we share, and the love that carries us through even the darkest of days.

While our stages may tell stories of love, hope, heartbreak, and togetherness, there are moments in life when words simply cannot express the sorrow we feel. This is one of those moments.

To the family, friends, teammates, classmates, and everyone whose life was touched by this young man, please know that you are not alone. Our hearts are with you, our prayers surround you, and our entire Starlight family stands beside you.

May the memories you hold close bring moments of comfort, may the love surrounding you give you strength, and may you always be reminded that his story, his spirit, and the impact he made will never be forgotten.

From our Starlight family to the entire Dawson-Boyd family, we are here for you. Today, tomorrow, and in the difficult days ahead.

🖤💛 Forever Our 64. Forever Remembered.

With heartfelt love and deepest sympathy,

Starlight On Main Theatre Company

🎭 A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE HOLLYWOOD THEATRE ✨

There are some buildings that are more than four walls and a roof. They hold stories. They hold memories. They become part of a community.

The Hollywood Theatre is one of those places.

We are incredibly excited to officially share that Starlight On Main Theatre Company is now the proud owner and operator of the Hollywood Theatre in downtown Montevideo!

On September 1, 2026, Starlight transitioned into full ownership of the Hollywood Theatre’s business operations. Then, on September 21, 2026, the keys to the building itself officially changed hands.

And now…the next act begins. 🎬

Our vision for the Hollywood is simple: to give this beautiful historic theatre a new life while honoring the generations of people who made it what it is today.

We want to see the marquee glowing.
We want to hear music filling the room.
We want actors taking the stage.
We want movies back on the screen.
We want audiences laughing, applauding, gathering, and making memories here again.

Most importantly, we want the Hollywood Theatre to become what it was always meant to be:

A TRUE SHOWHOUSE. 🎭🎞️🎶

Live theatre. Classic films. Concerts. Community events. Special performances. And plenty more still waiting in the wings.

There is a tremendous amount of work ahead of us, and this transformation won’t happen overnight. But we could not be more excited about what lies ahead for this incredible piece of Montevideo history.

Same iconic marquee. Same hometown theatre. A whole new chapter.

Welcome to the next act of the Hollywood Theatre. ❤️

Proudly owned & operated by Starlight On Main Theatre Company
