Tequila is THE remedy! 😉

This wonderful spirit is so versatile in its use, no wonder it’s loved by so many (and why we keep much on hand)😃

Now, we are not doctors here or wish to promote alcohol as a remedy to your symptoms….we are simply conversing about how it used to be and what we have learned along the way. Our grandparents and (in my case, hey, Crystal here) my parent, believes tequila is a great remedy. I aint going to argue with that! I personally like to have tequila, cayenne, honey and lemon when feeling under the weather….how ‘bout you??

Our Story

Monterey Tequila is proud to host the 9th Annual Monterey Bay Tequila & Cuisine--California’s premiere agave expo. The gathering of all things agave and deliciousness is on Saturday, October 19, 2018. Join our tribute to the rich and colorful history of Tequila and agave spirits.

The Monterey Bay Tequila & Cuisine (MBTC) was founded in 2009 by siblings Crystal Murphy and Omar Mercado–both Monterey County natives. Wanting to share a part of their rich and colorful heritage, founders Crystal and Omar decided to introduce Tequila and agave spirits to consumers, enthusiasts and the try-curious in a whole new way–education and a first-class tasting experience. The MBTC has provided an opportunity to work with local non-profits raising funds to support programs that Crystal and Omar feel are imperative in the Monterey County communities.

It takes a village to put on this event, and the amazing year-round all-volunteer team (mentioned here) looks forward to meeting you! Our agave family: Crystal Murphy – Event Co-Founder, Omar Mercado – Event Co-Founder, Ralph Jimenez – VP of Operations, Agave Brand Support, Bibi LaMere – Chair, Silent Auction, Leon Gomez – Logistics and Event Support, Janna Lopez – Marketing and Public Relations Extraordinaire, Jordan Caballero – Nusol Concepts, Media.
