NABA GOLD AWARD WINNER 2013!
A ruby beer with a burst of hop flavors and aromas are paired with a solid malt backbone and a clean and pleasant bitterness that lingers on the palate. Aromas of pine and citrus are prevalent due to heavy dry-hopping with a blend of West Coast hops.

President Ulysses S. Grant’s (Uly to his friends) Chocolate Oatmeal Stout is what this ale is all about!

FEVRE RIVER ALE™ HEFEWEIZEN
NABA GOLD AWARD WINNER 2014, NABA BRONZE AWARD WINNER 2013!

MINER’S TREASURE™ AMBER ALE
One of our most popular offerings, this ale is deep amber to mahogany in color and has a clean toasted and caramel malt taste.

Galena Brewing Co Ale House
The Galena Brewing Company (GBC) was born in April 2009 when Warren and Kathy had the Sand Creek Brewery in Black River Falls, WI make a Hefeweizen and an Amber Ale bottled under new Galena labels, which Galena residents and visitors eagerly quaffed! This had not been done for 80 years in Galena!
During the 1800’s Galena was a boom town, larger than Chicago in 1834, the richest source of lead in the world in 1856, and the busiest riverboat port on the Mississippi north of St Louis. The Galena River was 200 ft wide and as deep as the Mississippi, floating over 300 steam boats per year of many sizes.
Understandably those folks needed beer. There were 9 breweries in Galena in the 1800s which we just love to celebrate by featuring the 9 stars on our logo. After prohibition, just one brewery remained, the Galena Brewing Company. Unfortunately, it closed again in 1938.
To remedy that shocking lack of Galena beer, Warren and Kathy started the new Galena Brewing Company in April 2009. Now, 180,000 gals and many national and international beer awards later, the Galena Brewing Co is branching out!
