Village of Mohawk Memorial Day Parade! Monday, May 25th; step off is at 9AM hosted by the Crowley-Barnum American Legion Post 25. Remember and honor all who served.
Parade begins at the Legion on West Main St, traveling East Main to Fulton, to Marshall, to Michigan, taking a left onto Columbia Street heading South to end at the Mohawk Cemetery.

The Mohawk American Legion will be placing flags on veterans' graves on Saturday, May 16. All are welcome to assist in this detail. We will be meeting at the Cemetery at 9 AM and will have lists of stones that are to be honored. It is a very rewarding job and there is plenty of history to see in the cemetery. Hope to see some of you!

The annual Village of Mohawk's Memorial Day Parade steps off at 9 AM, Monday, May 25. All are welcome to participate. To participate, please contact American Legion Post 25 Commander Jason Harding at 518-775-0894. The parade concludes at the Mohawk Cemetery where a ceremony is held to honor our fallen veterans. We reconvene at the American Legion to lower and raise the colors followed by food for all inside the Legion. The parade route map is in the comments.

If you have a child 14 years or under who is into bike riding, don't miss this great annual event held on May 16. Registration is from 9-10 am followed by a walk through of the course at 10 and the obstacle course competition at 10:30. A fun day where the kids not only have fun, but learn a lot about bike safety. Another great children and youth program event sponsored by the S.A.L!

Crowley-Barnum is seeking nominations for of officers for the 2026-2027 program year. We still have vacancies including Post Compliance Officer, House chairman and Historian. Members may also throw their hat in the ring for any currently occupied officer position.

Nominations are being accepted via a sign up sheet at the bar. You are also welcome to notify us by sending a message through Facebook Messenger or by emailing [email protected].

Meetings are the second Monday of each month at 6 PM from September-June. There are no scheduled meetings in July and August.

Elections will be held at the May meeting on May 11 and installation of officers is at the June meeting on June 8.

We have a new display case in the Shoemaker Room. The top shelf of the case is reserved for members to display memorabilia from a member's loved one or themselves from their time in service. We will feature a different veteran every 3 months.

Currently featured are medals from Bronze Star recipient, James Baldwin, US Army, who served 3 tours in the Asiatic Pacific Campaign of WWII. These were contributed by Barb Wiers in honor of her father.
