Have you ever wanted a proper fender Stratocaster? The Crossroads bartenders and Back Bar bartenders pitched in and were donating a Fender “fat strat”. We also have some gift cards that will be at Grand central for Chico Fest! These are sold on reverb.com for $550 to $700 all day long. We’re going to suggest a $250 starting bid and if someone picks up for that it’s a steal. If no one bids on it we’ll buy it back. If you’re in town and can attend please go support a local musician and legend.

I’m so happy to see this bar opening back up even if it’s just for a day. It’s a pretty cool venue. I guess it’s just open for this event? Or is it open back now? Anyone know how to donate for auction? The Crossroads wants to donate a guitar.

CHICO FEST SET FOR SUNDAY
A daylong music festival featuring more than a dozen local acts is scheduled for Sunday in Downtown Mobile to raise money for longtime musician and Mardi Gras favorite Chico “Drums” McCollum.

Chico Fest 2026 will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Grand Central (256 Dauphin St.) and is being organized to assist McCollum as he faces health-related challenges and financial hardships.

The event will feature 16 local performers across two stages, showcasing a variety of musical styles including rock, blues, country, folk and funk.

In addition to live music, organizers have planned a silent auction and other fundraising activities. Donations will also be accepted throughout the event.

Admission is $10.

McCollum is widely known throughout Mobile's music community and among Mardi Gras parade-goers, where he became recognized for his drumming performances and trademark gesture of pointing a drumstick toward spectators.

We went ahead and paid for the PGA 2027 TOUR edition upgrade, so in September when it is released we should have up to 10 more 18-hole courses and improved graphics. It will also keep tournament structure active on the game, allow players to compete for cash prizes, and keep earnings up. They said it is still too early to announce the new features and exact quantity of new courses but 5 to 10 new courses is standard.
