The People's Room of Mobile features the finest local, regional, and national singer/songwriters and storytellers in an intimate setting where we connect the artist with the audience in a clean, quiet, and comfortable setting where the focus is on the artist and their music. Outside distractions and talking over the artists are not allowed. We offer fine beer, wine, water, and Coca-Cola products for your enjoyment.

*We are primarily a concert venue, and so while we do offer limited selection of beverages, we do not currently offer a food menu.*

We are located directly across the street from the fabulous Battle House Hotel in downtown Mobile, AL. We hope to see you soon!

We are PUMPED to welcome Maud Lane back to TPR! Join us this Saturday, September 19th from 7:00-9:00 for some amazing Mobile alt rock 🙌🙌🙌

Rock group Maud Lane hails from Mobile, AL. Formed around a core of three brothers— Ben, Matthew, and Micah Morris —the group launched during the lockdowns of 2020 (talk about timing) and have been going strong ever since, picking up guitarist Matt Parnell in 2025 to finish out the quartet. The group’s sound is hard to pin down, as the guys each have a surprisingly wide and perpendicular spread of influences and tastes amongst themselves. Needless to say, it’s good. Think of your favorite song, and it’s at least half as good as that!

Redefining the meaning of the title of “Alternative” to the genre as a whole, the group prides itself on delivering strong, memorable performances, both in their recordings and live shows. With a lively blend of both the humorous and dance-y to the syrupy and morose, Maud Lane’s embracing of the “focus on the now” mentality carries over through their music and reaches out to the audience, providing a much needed companion in the form of song.
