Friends who attended, played in, or once-in-a-while caught our Sunday Seisun will probably remember Patrick Golden.

He was not only a regular in the pub but a friend to many of us, and many of you. He passed away last week at the rich young age of 82 and his funeral is Thursday, November 9, at the Basilica of Saint Mary in downtown Minneapolis. 

We miss you, Pat. But know that you will continue to play for all that have gone before you.

I found out last week that the bar I used to go to for trivia with my friends, Keegan’s Irish Pub, had closed down due to COVID.

While I had only been going there for a few months, I grew to appreciate the aesthetic homeyness of the interior.

Goodbye portraits of Ronald Reagan and JFK on the wall — thanks for the memories/sad to see you go.

It is with a heavy heart that we must bid our friends 'slán'.

We hope to see you between now and 10pm tomorrow night and, if we do not, we will miss you, the memories, the laughter, and the craic.
