Give a warm Pasta Bar welcome to our new Executive Chef, Nate Mickelson
Born and raised on the Eastside of Saint Paul, Nate has always been smitten with food. From baking with mom and high school kitchen gigs to working doubles at Muffulettas & Kincaid’s - he’s worked his way through countless cuisines and environments.
As a veteran of the Twin Cities dining scene, Chef Nate joins our team with a full roster under his belt. He’s spent time at some legendary spots - Chino Latino (RIP) and Manny’s among them - and he’s also got a sweet spot for ice cream, having had a hand in opening Milkjam, Bebe Zito’s, and Dream Creamery.
But his connection to Broders’ is personal. He has family in the neighborhood, and the Pasta Bar was once a beloved first-date destination. In his first month, Nate has already brought an energy of change and flavor. He’ll be rolling out a new summer menu featuring dishes you’ve never seen before at the Pasta Bar (don’t worry, the classics aren’t going anywhere). He says he’s been getting a feel for not only what pasta Minnesota loves, but what our Southwest MPLS neighbors enjoy. That’s what we like to hear.
