Since 1919, our historic post has offered a friendly atmosphere, live music, and a place where all are welcome. VFW Post 246 was named in honor of James J. Ballentine was born July 25, 1893 in Rochester, Minnesota (Olmsted County) USA. We are a 501(c)(19) organization dedicated to serve Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans of peace time, patriots, patrons, and the surrounding community.

To the freaks, geeks, and lovers of the Twin Cities:

We are SO excited to announce this Halloween weekend, the best 90s dance party of the year is BACK! Join 90s superband You Oughta Know and the DJ / VJ magic of The 90s Preservation Society for a dance night of spine-chilling proportions. On Friday October 30th, it's time to put together your FRIGGITY FRESHEST costume and/or 90s throwback gear, organize all your favorite witches, and come get the H-A-D-E-S down to your favorite old school jams at the legendary Uptown VFW. So pre-heat that creepy crawlers oven and get ready to party!

Doors at 9pm, live music at 10pm, party hardy til close. Plan a DD and everybody respects every body. Let's do this!
