Plus, if you ARE a professional, you can get in now before he starts his advanced alumni program! This was, bar none, the best improv training I've ever had. The space work was incredible.

Helen Zaltzman sums up gaining experience in VO nicely:

"Most people hate the sound of their own voices. And the thing to get over that is to edit yourself for like ten hours a week in perpetuity...you'll still be annoyed at yourself, but you'll just be too broken to care."

My neighbor has been working on his porch for what feels like years and years. He will often start hammering just as I start to record. I stop recording. He stops hammering. I wait. It's quiet. I hit record...and he starts hammering again.

I know I've seen similar scenarios played out in cartoons. A prize to the person who finds and links to the best example!
