📚 READING IS POLITICAL. READING IS FREEDOM.

Books have always been about more than entertainment. Stop in at your local library or indie book store and grab something they don’t want us to read. Share with the people you love what these books mean to you, and what they mean to the book community.

Voices are being silenced. And that’s not what reading is about.

Drop your favorite banned book in the comments!

Coming back for year two! Our annual wrapping party! 🎁

At our August book fair we collected 395 books! AHHHHH!

We will have all the supplies to wrap each book individually, pair it with a book mark & they will all be donated to local organizations & shelters!

The Women's Center
ronaldmcdonaldhouseewi
Children's Wisconsin
Walker’s Point Youth & Family Center

And we’re asking if you have books at home still & didn’t get to donate in August bring them with you! We’re looking for books published in the last 5 years of all ages & genres! We will add them to the pile to wrap!

We will also have a few vendors available to shop from & even buy new books to add to our pile to donate!

Invite your friends, your book clubs, your coworkers!

And because it will be at Pilot Project Brewing - Milwaukee, WI of course grab some food & drinks!

This is one of my most fave events that we host because there’s so much meaning behind it! Mark your calendars!🎄

This summer, we’re proud to be partnering with for our Summer Tip-Off Book Fair on June 30th!📚

Bernie’s Book Bank believes every child deserves the opportunity to own books of their own. Through the power of book ownership, they’re helping children build stronger literacy skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading.

We’re so excited because Bernie’s is opening its new Milwaukee location this summer, expanding their incredible impact right here in our community. Their team is absolutely amazing, and we can’t wait to help support their mission.

We’re collecting new and gently loved children’s books at the book fair, and we’d love your help! 📖

📍
📅 June 30th
⏰ 4:30 PM–9:00 PM

Bring a book, grab a drink, shop local authors and makers, and help us put more books into the hands of kids who need them.
Because every child deserves a book to call their own. 💛
