Yes… it’s just starting to feel like summer ☀️ but if you know us over here at MKE Books & Beers, you KNOW we’re already thinking about fall 🍂📚🐈‍⬛

And honestly… because we love so much, we had no choice but to bring back our Fall Book Fair 👻

We are officially looking for local authors, bookstores, artists, and spooky-book-loving vendors! Especially if you carry and/or write horror, thriller, gothic, witchy, dark academia, cozy fall, or all-around spooky vibe books ✨

More details coming soon, but we wanted to start getting vendor interest rolling now!

For our giveback this fall, we’ll be collecting food, litter, toys, and other cat & kitten donations for 🖤

Because truly… what pairs better with a good book than a cat? Especially during spooky season 🐾

Our vendor list for Summer Tip-Off is here ☀️📚🏀

We’re so excited to be back in the this June with an amazing mix of vendors for both adults and kiddos! From books, handmade goods, treats, and local favorites there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s event is extra special as we partner with to host a community book drive in celebration of their grand opening. We can’t wait to come together as a community to support literacy, local businesses, and reading.

Three years ago, when MKE Books & Beers first started, we knew exactly what we wanted our mantra to be:

Read Local. Drink Local. Give Local.

What started as a simple idea rooted in a love for reading, libraries, and the city of Milwaukee quickly became something much bigger than us.

To us, “Read Local” means supporting local authors, independent bookstores, literacy programs, and creating spaces where stories bring people together. 📚

“Drink Local” means celebrating the breweries, coffee shops, wineries, and small businesses that make Milwaukee feel like home. 🍺☕️🍷

And “Give Local” means intentionally pouring back into our community, choosing local makers, local nonprofits, local events, and local people every chance we get.❤️

For the last three years, we’ve worked to make a difference for local shelters, local authors, local bookstores, local nonprofits, and local small businesses. Every event, every donation, every partnership has been built around one thing: community.

And we’re not stopping anytime soon.😎

So when you start seeing this slogan on our merch, stickers, social media, and at our events, know this:

This is where we started. 📍

And our mission will always be the community.

📗 June 30: Summer Tip Off
Explore a variety of adult authors and vendors with a mix of fun for the kiddos. Plus, celebrate the opening of Bernie’s Book Bank with a children’s book drive!

📘 Aug. 25: Summer’s Last Call
The annual adult book fair will feature vendors focused on adult readers in Milwaukee and host a community book drive to turn donations into holiday gifts for local shelters.
