Today is the two-year anniversary of our opening, and unfortunately today will also mark our indefinite closing.

This year has been tough for everyone, but we believe that people will always be more important than profit.

It began with our mission to open a live music venue that never charged artists in any way to book at our space. We worked hard to ensure that anyone who walked in our door was put first, above the idea of anything profit driven. Once COVID-19 came about, our attitude shifted to putting the safety of people first, above operating while we didn’t have to.

We stayed closed after lock down was lifted in an effort to combat the rising cases at that time. In September we faced the difficult decision of closing permanently or reopening as safely as possible. Like everyone else, we filed an exhaustive safety plan with the city, and very effectively adhered to it, even going beyond the minimum requirements set forth. We did far better than expected due to the amazing support of the people who engaged with us during all of this. Flash forward a few weeks and everything has gone to hell again. Friends are getting sick left and right, some in the hospital fighting right now. We shut down again last week, and with no change in sight we cannot in good conscience reopen anytime soon. That also means we cannot continue to occupy our current space. It’s really unfortunate, but we refuse to compromise on what we believe right.

Things didn’t have to get as bad as they are now. We didn’t have to lose the people we already have. Please stay home as much as possible. Wear a mask. Take this seriously.

We will back.

We have not opened for service this week, and will continue to be closed through the weekend.

We have made every effort to engage in safe practices per our safety plan with the city, however the drastic rise of positive COVID-19 cases has forced us to reconsider what is best for staff and guests alike. While the decision to temporarily close our doors does not come easily, we feel it’s the right thing to do given the current circumstances. As of now, we’ll be reassessing the situation as time passes, and hopefully progress is made on getting this virus more under control.

It’s been our philosophy from day one to put people above profit, and that applies all the more these days. Until we reopen, we’ll be working on cool new stuff, and looking forward to when we can see all your faces again. Stay Safe!!
