Comment Policy
- While PrideFest Milwaukee is only a three-day festival, we are excited to engage with our LGBT community on a year-round basis through Facebook. We enjoy sharing news about our organization, our community, and our world with you every day of the year.
- Please note that our community manager is empowered to remove off-topic, disrespectful, inappropriate, offensive, unrelated,
repetitive or "spam" content from our page at any time. This first removal of content is considered a First Warning. If inappropriate postings continue after a FIrst Warning, we will notify the user that they are in violation of our comment policy and may be banned from our community if they continue. This is considered a Second Warning. After comment removal and policy warnings have been issued, we reserve the right to report and/or ban Facebook users from our page who continue to violate our community guidelines. Direct attacks on any individual will result in an immediate ban from the page and a report to Facebook. As an organization that promotes acceptance and understanding of LGBT culture and community, we will not tolerate hostility at any time. While we are supportive of not-for-profit LGBT businesses, causes and events, we limit the number of postings on our page by outside organizations. In addition, for-profit businesses are not allowed to post on our page without the express permission and partnership of PrideFest. In addition, our page is not intended for open discussions of political parties, candidates, elections, or other government activities. While Facebook offers numerous forums for LGBT political advocacy, our page is not one of them. When in doubt about whether or not a post is appropriate, please "message" us on our page and we will review your request.
