It’s been a big month of anniversaries for Irish Eyes and some big thanks are in order!
Back in April, Irish Eyes Milton very quietly celebrated 20 years in business. Last week marked 40 years since the very first Irish Eyes opened in Rehoboth. Today is the 30th anniversary of Irish Eyes coming to Lewes in what was once the Anglers.
(Apparently, we make big moves in years ending in a six. Anybody got a restaurant they’re trying to sell?? 🤣)
These past 4 decades have been an incredible ride. Big wins, some big losses, a little heartbreak , a lot of laughs and through it all, this AMAZING community supporting us.
We love what we do. We love the craziness and the barely controlled chaos and we love the slow days when we get to catch up with regulars and cleaning projects. We love watching your kids grow up and sometimes hiring them! We love the cast of characters that we call coworkers, who will fuss and fight and carry on and then come together like the team they are to make an Irish Eyes miracle when the stuff hits the fan We love being the spot you want to come to when you are celebrating a birthday or have visitors from out of town or it’s just been a long day and you need a friendly face.
But what makes all the late nights and early mornings and arguments and hard work and sleepless nights all worth it is you. Our customers are the absolute lifeblood of this place. From day one, you got us. You saw what we wanted this place to be and you wanted to be a part of it. You went to bat for us in town meetings (we’re looking at you, Milton!), you looked out for our people during Covid, you donate to our causes and run in our races… you keep coming back. When we talk about the Irish Eyes family, we mean you, too.
From the bottom of our big Irish hearts, thank you for an incredible 40 years! Here’s to 40 more! 🥃 🍺 Slainte!!
