I’m sorry it has taken me a day to post an update.
As most of you know we had a fire and will be closed for a while. I don’t currently know how long but I will say the plan is to reopen! The structure appears to be in good shape and the fire damage is in the bar, office, and downstairs dining area. It looks like it was in the ceiling area between the drop ceiling and roof. Unfortunately we have quite a bit of smoke and water damage throughout the building too. I will be meeting with all the people involved in the cleanup and reconstruction this week to figure out the plan. I will try to keep everyone updated. I am also working on a plan to keep my staff as I know they are a big part of why Chequers is so special.
Thank you for all of the calls, texts, and Facebook messages. It has all be overwhelming and we love you guys.
