One of the biggest mistakes in our industry is not understanding how to price talent while keeping a business profitable.

When you book a performer, you’re not just paying for the performance. There’s marketing, costumes, coordination, administration, and an entire operation behind every booking.

Everyone wants their event to be unforgettable, but what actually makes people remember it?

After 20 years in the event industry, I can tell you that it’s not always about how much you spend. It’s about the experience you create.

Here are 3 things that can make all the difference:

1. The right person coordinating your event. Someone who understands the flow, communicates with vendors, and knows how to keep everything moving without losing the magic of the moment.
2. Your entertainment, music, and DJ. People may forget the decorations or what they ate, but they will remember how much fun they had and how your event made them feel.
3. The songs behind your special moments. This is something so many people leave until the last minute! Your entrances, family dances, and traditions deserve music that has meaning, not just something picked because you’re running out of time.

A beautiful event is one thing. An unforgettable experience is another.

My advice? Be intentional with the details that create memories.
