Physically built in the 50s, the Cowboy Western Club as we know it today opened in the early 1980s and has come to be known as one of the longest-running dancehalls in Texas. You name 'em and they've probably played on stage here at least once; from King George (George Strait, y'all) in the mid-80s to the Honky Tonk Kid himself Mr. Aaron Watson who has sung us a tune more times than we can count! In addition to our self-proclaimed legendary public dancehall status, we also rent out this over 20,000 square foot facility for private events. Several couples have hosted their wedding receptions with us, with even a few getting hitched inside as well! Furthermore, there have been numerous benefits, reunions, and birthday parties held inside these four walls.
