Hello everyone
I wanted to start this off with apologizing for not being able to goto either of The Marsh Room Patio Bar & Grill benefit events. I’ve been sick for the last week and It has been kicking my ass. So with that said I want to thank you all for what you have done for the Marsh Room staff/family. It was amazing to see how many bands, people and the local music scene come together for them and so fast. Me personally I felt so much love and compassion from you all.
I’d like to thank everyone that had a part in this but there were so many of you, please don’t be offended if I leave your name out. Just know all of you did an incredible job and I personally appreciate each and every one of you. So I’d like to start of with thanking my brother Matthew David and Augustus Nero for getting this ball rolling and getting in touch with Jay Bagnetto and Southport Hall. You guys were a pivotal roll in getting all this going and I appreciate you all. Next the crew at Babylon for getting prepared so quickly for the Saturday night event. You guys killed it. Thanks to Anthony Freeze for helping me get all the donations together and to Southport event. Plus doorman duties and more. I want to thank Tamara and Paul for the incredible shirts and always being supportive of the local scene, the Marsh and Babylon. You guys are always are appreciated for everything you do for the scene and it’s not said enough… but thank you from me personally. Also thank you to Bill Heintz and Jenn Attaway from Midnight Prints for killing the shirts. Great work as always. Id also like to thank Jeff Barras ( maybe related down the line lol ) for stepping up for me in my absence with the silent auction. Also, thank you for everyone who donated some thing to the silent auction. There was so many people that donated we’d love to name everybody but it’s impossible. But you know who you are and thank you very much. And last, but not least, I want to thank all the bands that took the time out of their lives and schedules to show up and play these two events. You guys really went above and beyond and came out in full force and crushed this for us. So thank you to The Bald Dog Project, Silver Dose, THEM GUYS, 1016, Brethren Hogg, The Jak Locke Rock Show, Pale Devil Sun, Pale Shelter, PuriKura Panic ( that had to drop due to medical reasons )Konstricted, ZERO HEARD, MagDoz, Ending, Train Wreck Method, No End In Sight, She Might Be a Beast and Atomic Motor Queen.. You all did something that truly means the world to us ( the marsh family ) so thank you all. Also thank you to all the bands/acts I had to turn away due to the events filling up so fast.
So again I appreciate every single person involved in this. It was great to see the scene coming together for the Marsh Room staff and one of the best people I know Capt-Robert Burke! Rob is one amazing person that will do anything to help the scene, a friend, family or just a stranger if he has it he will help. This man is underrated and should not be. He’s one of my best friends and my brother. I’m sure most of you all know how incredible this man is and appreciate the hell out of him. With these events you guys have shown how much you love and respect this man as well as I do. He has a staple in the local music scene that has helped create things and venues for us all to enjoy. So without further ado, I want to say thank you again guys for everything you’ve done to help all of us. Let’s all hope and pray that The Marsh will come back stronger and better if that’s at all possible.
