I got this dreaded phone call one year ago, and my life changed forever. This past year I put everything Mr. Baker taught me to the test and was able to open up my very own studio. It was a bittersweet week as Monday I opened the doors to my very own studio on Mr. Bakers birthday (April 12).

Thank you for everything. Gone but never forgotten❤️

It is with great sadness I must let you know that Mr. Baker lost his battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be a viewing.

It was a great privilege to know Mr. Baker personally and to work alongside him for the past 10 years. He inspired so many with his love and passion for music and education.

Mr. Baker was very proud to serve our community and loved our amazing students. He had more dreams to realize with Baker Performing Arts but unfortunately they will not come to be and the studio will be closed.

I would like to thank our amazing students, families and community for all the support, memories, experiences and talent shared at Baker Performing Arts throughout the years.

You are loved and will be missed Mr. Baker!

Hello Baker Performing Arts families,

Christmas time was Mr. Bakers FAVORITE. We always decorated the studio before Thanksgiving and took down the decorations after New Years. He even kept his home Christmas tree up all year round (yes, he would send me pictures in the middle of July of his decorated tree😂).

This year has been especially tough losing Mr. Baker and the Studio. He is in our hearts and minds everyday and I am so thankful for the opportunity he gave me as a kid to learn and ultimately, make my dream life a reality.

I hope to continue his legacy and teach/inspire kids on and off stage the way he taught and inspired me.

I found light in the darkness this year opening up my own performing arts studio called Stage Door Studio LLC in Chandler, AZ not too far from Baker performing arts. We just had our very first musical performance of Madagascar (one of Mr. Bakers favorites, besides Chorus Line of course!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. BAKER!🥳
Producer, Business Owner, Educator, Mentor, Friend... just some of the things people know you as, but I am blessed to know you as so much more! We have had an incredible journey running this amazing studio you created, this community is so lucky to have someone so driven and passionate in the arts and education as you.

The first picture below was taken last year when Mr. Baker was presenting me with my Hall of Fame plaque at Baker Performing Arts First Annual Gala. This sums up some of my favorite moments when we go onstage after a performance and talk about our amazing students and studio!

Even though the studio can’t be open this year for our birthdays, I want to wish you a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We love and appreciate all you do so much!🎶🎈

Happy Birthday Tiffany Selene!! 🎉🎁🎈 April 3rd, at the young age of 22 years old, she has done so much for the studio from being a student, intern, actress, camp director & choreographer! Tiffany has directed & performed, too many to count, musicals and plays to well over thousand children over the past 10 years! She is one of the most hard-working, bright and loyal individuals that I’ve ever met! This will be marking Tiffany‘s 10- year anniversary at Baker Performing Arts and is our producing artistic director! She is also doing a phenomenal job running the overall operation, especially during this difficult time in the world that we are all experiencing! March 31, 2020. Thank you Stanley Steemer for keeping us in complete compliance with CDC guidelines and Department of Health deep cleaning!. We look forward to opening soon with all of our day camps, summer camps, classes and musical theater programs!

NOTE: We are looking for professional cleaners for our other ongoing janitorial needs! We are open to bartering, smaller mom and pop shops and local small business professional cleaners! You must have your own products and equipment!

Announcing our 2020 Spring Musicals and Plays updated casts lists! The TENTATIVE rehearsal schedule, materials and music for our upcoming production of W***y Wonka Kids, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Play and Moana Jr. was sent out to all cast members TODAY!

Please go ahead and look everything over and we look forward to seeing you soon after things start leveling out with this extraordinary time with Coronavirus. We will give you more information and direction, but in the meantime look over the music scripts and enjoy!
