This season is all about being thankful, and if I’m being honest, I’m often told I don’t take enough time to reflect or “brag” on myself. And they’re right. So instead of bragging, I’m choosing to reflect.
This past weekend, I was asked to provide my bartending services at a private event for the Mayor of Memphis’ Paul Young’s wife. My first reaction was, “Me?” I didn’t think much of it at first, because over the last two years I’ve been blessed to stay booked and to cross paths with some truly amazing people.
I prepped and created some special juices and syrups for their custom menu, but my nerves were still everywhere, which is unusual. That night Mayor came up to me, complimented my service, and asked what he could do to help my business. I almost cried right there because you want to help me and my small business?
I also ran into my good guy marvintodd901 , who introduced me to some incredible people and spoke so highly of me — something I’ve now learned he’s done before. These are genuinely good men who want to see others win, grow, and reach greatness.
For that, I am grateful, thankful, and blessed. Still at a loss for words. I look forward to what’s coming in the near future and providing great service. Make sure to support memphisforward901
