So you wanna know what all the chatter is about regarding The Edge Gets Lit Alley Party? Well you have come to right part of the ALL POWERFUL WORLD WIDE INTER WEB! Good Question! Inquiring and curious minds all over the city have been wondering as well. Drum roll please . . The highlight of the TEGL Alley Part will be the over head lighting of Floyd Alley between Fourth St. and Danny Thomas. This

artistic lighting implementation/creative place-making will be a permanent display for year around vibrancy and safety.The switch will be hit right at dusk and light will fill the alley and we will continue the party on through the night! A HUGE SPECIAL THANK YOU goes out to the Memphis Medical District Collaborative, the Downtown Memphis Commission and Premiere Contractors, INC for funding this amazing project! Please give them a high five when you see them at TEGL Alley Party or around town - they are all awesome and all are making huge investments into our beautiful and flourishing city! Okay you say ...I get the name now but what's the skinny on the party? Other highlights will be the best live music and dance troupes in Memphis, local eateries and food trucks, dog show with wacky games for dogs and their owners, local art and craft vendors, demonstration art and other great attractions to be added in the weeks to come. Our partnership with our home town heroes - The Memphis Redbirds is another great part of the Party! We are partnering with the Redbirds to get the word out about the Alley Party and the Redbirds 6:35pm game just a short walk from the party. Please support the Redbirds! Hey Friends of The Edge! Many of you know Mike and Becky Todd who were the brain children for The Edge Gets Lit and are treasures to the city of Memphis and The Edge District. What you might not know is that they have a son who is a war hero and now an up and coming Hip Hop Artist! Yep you read it right - please check out Mik Todd - who is better known these days as Doc Todd - on NPR's Nationally Syndicated program - All Things Considered.

Wow talk about the ULTIMATE PARTY GUESTS – THE REDBIRDS!!! The Redbirds will have the gate open where Floyd Alley dead ends into 4th St. as part of The Edge Gets Lit Alley Party! It will be $5 to get in and you will be given a wristband so you can come and go as you please The ticket will be a standing room/bluff ticket. The only place the $5 entry will be offered is the fence gate at the end of Floyd Alley, by the YMCA and is only available at that entry point. BIG NEWS FROM THE REDBIRDS! THEY ARE COMING TO THE PARTY! Wow! Talk about the ULTIMATE PARTY GUESTS! Our friends The Redbirds are opening their gate at the end of Floyd Alley and 4th St. so we can come in and out of the game all night long. The game starts at 6:35 and you do need to purchase a SUPER CHEAP $5 Ticket/Wristband to come and go. Here are the details:

The ticket will be a standing room/bluff ticket. The only place the $5 entry will be offered is the fence gate at the end of Floyd Alley, by the YMCA and is only available at that entry point. (Tickets will not be sold in advance and cannot be purchased at the box office.)
