About Lucas
A Mississippi Gulf Coast native, Lucas McKinney trained under James Beard Award–winning chefs including Chris Shepherd, John Currence, and Vishwesh Bhatt before opening Josephine’s in 2023. His cooking reflects a deep respect for Gulf ingredients, regional agriculture, and the landscapes that shaped his upbringing.
