💥 Immerse yourself in this Rock-and-Roll Theater by LA’s trickster spirit, CHICKEN SOUP & RICE with 901 favorites SCREAMER and PYRRHIC VIC 🎸
In smeared face paint and tattered suits, MCSR delivers purgatorial theatrics, part psychedelic séance, part manic episode, part communal ritual, driven by live electric guitar, squawking vocals, and alien choir backtracks.
With a moniker inspired by the Maurice Sendak/Carole King special Really Rosie, MCSR treats play and irreverence as survival tools in a beautiful, antagonistic world. Dunehoo’s background spans NYC independent theater, filmmaking, including his feature horror debut WRETCH (Night Visions, Helsinki,) and mental-health advocacy through his podcast MINDBEND. After a pair of hand-mangling accidents during the pandemic, MCSR evolved into a one-man band: painful guitar, fake candles, real spells.
