Someone asked me the other day if harvest season was the same every year...🤔
Wouldn't that be something? Everything lines up to just be...predictable.
But then again, if that were the case wine wouldn't be as cool.
The thing about wine is, it's got a story to tell.
One about land and time. A life story about what happened that year.
This is what can make one vintage completely unique from the last.
Part of that is the weather.
Heat, precipitation, cool nights, cloud cover, and sunshine all play a part in the quality of grapes and, you guessed it, the timing of harvest.
So no harvest season is anything but the same year to year. But it sure does make for an interesting ride when the end of summer rolls around.
Have you been to Carlos Creek Winery during harvest season before? It's one of the most exciting times!
