Dear Friends and Followers,

I want to take a moment to share something deeply personal with all of you. Over the past few years, I’ve faced the highest highs and the lowest lows of business ownership. I lost one business during a difficult divorce because I chose my son over the business. In another, I trusted someone I thought was a partner, only to be betrayed after 16 months of hard work. Now, I’m left fighting for what I built, but without the resources to do so easily. These experiences were incredibly painful, but they’ve also taught me invaluable lessons.

As a result, I’m transforming this page. What was once The Joint Kava Lounge will now become Raw and Rooted Ventures, a space where I will guide others on how to start and protect their businesses—for free. I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned about forming LLCs, building companies, and navigating partnerships. My goal is to help you avoid the mistakes I made, protect what you’ve built, and ensure your hard work doesn’t go to waste.

No matter how anyone wants to twist it, 16 months of work at $5k a month, equals $80,000 that Ashton was never paid.
If anyone of you were put in the same situation where you got robbed of $80,000 you would be flipping everything including social media in order to get it .

Ashton isn’t wrong. He is owed for his work and partnership.
We will not stop until he is paid for his sacrifice.

The malicious attempt of Michael to discredit Ashton and rob him of his dream is what is being pointed out here.

Ashton was not an “employee”, he was and still is a full fledged partner and owner of The Joint.

No matter what anyone says, working for free for 18 months while being told and agreed upon that you are a partner does not allow someone the right to take away your dream and hard work because 18 months later they don’t agree with what happens in your personal life.

Either way Ashton is owed to him what is rightfully his and it’s not right that Michael pulled a snake and slimy move after Ashton got the place running top notch.

Even if you paint the picture of Ashton just being an employee, he was NEVER paid once in 18 months to the agreed terms of $5k a month along with partnership.
