Labor Day is truly one of our favorite days of the year, as our winery was originally founded on Labor Day Weekend - as a tribute to those who came before us & fought for fair rights and working conditions, and the value of hard work; and we truly believe that without Labor, there is no future.

As we celebrate Labor Day, let's toast to the fruits of our Labor! May your holiday be filled with good food, great wine, and the joy of a well-deserved break. Cheers!

Happy Wine Wednesday!

Today, we get to celebrate Bottling Day for our 2023 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, which just bottled the other day. Now, we'll let the wine bottle age for a minimum of six months prior to releasing the wine for the holiday season.

Courtesy of Oregon Pinot Camp's Vintage notes, "The 2023 Vintage we're calling a 'Return to Normal.' We’ve had several unusual vintages recently, e.g., 2022 (hard freeze), 2021 (hot, hot hot) and 2020 (wildfire smoke). 2023 pleasantly showed us a recent, relative normalcy, albeit warm. Vineyard vigor, growth and ripening were strong in summer 2023, leading to an early harvest. Crop load yields were slightly smaller and general quality was very good to exceptional—and that's the "normal" we'd like to see."
