Good morning everybody! I know we are late at posting this, but we wanted to bring clarity to it.
On Saturday, we were presenting a right rear tire to the 19th place finisher in the Fallen First Responders Race at Lincoln Speedway, one of our favorite events of the year. During the race, there was numerous incidents, cars dropping out etc that 19th was being scored as Justin Whittall via MyRacePass. All the way through till the checkers, 19th never changes according to MRP. So, with that, we presented a Right Rear Tire Certificate to Justin and his team. We were later informed that 19th was being officially scored to Aaron Bollinger.
This is the first time we have ever had this issue where MyRacePass and the official scoring didn't line up. We would like to publicly apologize to Rick Lefever, Aaron Bollinger and the entire 75 team for this mistake from Saturday. It is a very rare occurrence where something like this has happened and sincerely apologize for this mistake.
So with that, not only will Justin Whittall get a tire, we will be also be awarding a Rubbers 4 Racers Right Rear tire to Aaron Bollinger and the 75 team as well from Saturday Night as he is the rightful recipient of it. We thank everyone who supports us every week and for understanding our mistake. Congrats to Justin and Aaron and we will see you all at the track! ~Matt
Going forward, we will rely on the race track official scoring from the tower immediately following the feature to avoid any issues. Transparency is crucial and we want to make sure we are doing the right thing. ~ James
